| Nashville, Tenn. – Dewey & Leslie Brown And the Carolina Gentlemanare excited to announce their brand new single, “Jealousy.” The hard-driving track serves as the first taste from their forthcoming full-length project, set for release in early 2020. The track is available now for download and streaming on all digital platforms (get it HERE)!|
“We are super excited for folks to hear what we have been working on this year, especially this single! I wrote this song to have meaning… to encourage everyone that God has a plan for each and every one of us,” says Leslie. “We really enjoy performing this song and hope everyone enjoys listening!” Dewey adds, “I’m really proud of this song and I really hope everyone will enjoy it as much as we do! It’s really hard driving bluegrass, which is what I love!”
Self-penned by Leslie Brown, “Jealousy” allows the entire band to shine throughout. Gaining inspiration from Dewey’s time playing with the legendary Dr. Ralph Stanley, the upbeat Mountain Sound is on full display from start to finish. Powerhouse vocalist Leslie Brown sings lead on “Jealousy,” while Dewey sings backup vocals.
The upcoming project serves as the follow-up to the band’s critically-acclaimed 2018 debut album, Under The Mountain. In addition to being featured in publications like Cowboys & Indians, and making their debut on the legendary WSM-AM, the project was named “Traditional American Bluegrass CD of the Year.” The band traveled to Iowa to accept the award from the Rural Roots Commission. Recently, Leslie was also named one of the co-hosts of The Bluegrass Standard’s syndicated radio show.
